Highbank Primary and Nursery School
Curriculum
At Highbank we are required by law to deliver the National Curriculum.
Our approach is to deliver this curriculum through a variety of themes and themed weeks. During themed weeks the focus is on either Science, Art or Design and Technology.
There are 5 themes each year and each theme is driven by a curriculum subject e.g. History. The majority of subjects and programmes of study are delivered through these themes, however Maths, P.E, R.E and Modern Foreign Languages are delivered separately and are not linked to the themes.

Phonics
